Following the winter months, your skin might look a bit dull, flaky and lackluster from the cold dry months. Now is the time to take care of any dry skin build-ups and replenish lost moisture. It’s also the time to prep for the warmer summer months and to adapt your skincare products accordingly.

Exfoliation is key to get rid of dry skin and allow new skin cells to resurface. This process will also help your creams to better penetrate and effectively hydrate your skin. It is also part of your preventive care against potential breakouts that tend to appear when the weather becomes warmer and more humid. You need to ensure that no dead skin is clogging your pores.

Chose products with AHA, Lactic Acid and enzymes from natural sources to use in the form of masks twice weekly. If your skin is not sensitive, thin or prone to redness/irritation alternate with manual scrubs.

During this time it's also key to find a right balance between deeply replenishing lost moisture and lightening up your creams to adapt for rising temperature and humidity. We suggest incorporating a moisturizing mask at night to be used once or twice a week. During the day, swap your rich creams for lighter ones with high grade hyaluronic acid that will revitalize your skin and plump fine lines that might have appeared as a result of drier skin in winter .

Also, look for a high-quality face oil to incorporate in your routine. Oils can be used all year round. Chose one that absorbs well, contains skin refining retinoids, essential vitamins, and bacteria fighting ingredients.

Finally, don’t forget to reincorporate your SPF into your routine when you are outside!

Below are our some of our selection of clean beauty products to incorporate in your spring routine!
