Formulated with a blend of botanical ingredients including Alpine willowherb extract, known for its clarifying properties, masterwort extract to help revitalise the look of skin and hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture, it leaves skin soft and supple. Bisabolol, a compound of camomile oil, soothes the skin and reduces inflammation.
Our Purifying Cleansing Gel features sugar-based surfactants made from renewable raw materials to effectively remove make-up and dirt without drying, while making a positive difference to the planet. To make this product even more sustainable and performant, we recently made a minor change to improve to the formula by switching to some new, intelligent ingredient complexes from the Alpine region. This product still delivers the same benefits that you know and love, so you can achieve the very best for your skin while respecting our planet.

How to use
- Use this mild gel every morning and evening as the first step in your cleansing routine.
- Apply to the face in gentle circular movements.
- Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.
- Follow with your regular Susanne Kaufmann skincare products.
Susanne's Double Cleansing Spa Tip:
- First apply the Soothing Cleansing Milk to dry skin and massage well.
- Before removing, apply the Purifying Cleansing Gel on top and massage once more in circular motions to lift away all dirt and impurities.
- Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Pair It With
For a gentle double cleanse, apply our Purifying Toner after the Purifying Cleansing Gel to lift away leftover dirt and sebum from the pores. Cleansing the skin thoroughly helps prevent breakouts and ensures a healthy skin barrier, for a more radiant complexion.

Alpine willowherb extract reduces sebum production and minimises the appearance of pores. It also helps to reduce inflammation and eliminate skin impurities.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid effectively binds moisture, prevents moisture loss and improves the natural elasticity and firmness of the skin.
Masterwort root extract comes from an ancient plant that has long been known for its antibiotic healing power and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
The natural, spring water is filtered through a special water treatment system that cleans, energises and mineralises the water. It is a good solvent for many raw materials.
Coco glucoside is a skin-friendly detergent made of fruit sugar and plant-based fats. It gently cleanses and has a moisturising effect. Unlike conventional surfactants, it is easily biodegradable.
Detergent from the fatty alcohol of the coconut.
It is present in all waxes and oils. It attracts water to the skin and supports cell regeneration. We only use plant-based glycerin.
Very pure, highly concentrated sugar surfactant from coconut. It is a foaming mild cleanser. It has a very good skin compatibility and a soothing effect. Unlike conventional surfactants, it is easily biodegradable.
Plant-based emulsifier with moisturising effect.
Glyceryl oleate is a skin-compatible naturally resourced co-emulsifier of plant-based origin. It makes the skin soft and supple.
Levulinic acid is produced by the fermentation of sugar or corn and has a preservative effect. In addition, it regulates the pH value of the skin and improves the natural acid protection.
Bisabolol, a component of camomile oil, has an anti-inflammatory and calming effect and stimulates cell regeneration.
